Trainer/Mentor: Hannah Folkard, the most natural person I have ever seen on a horse.
Favorite Horse of all time: The late great ride of John Whittaker - Milton and Anky Van
Grunsven`s former dressage champion Bonfire.
Favorite Colour: PINK, PINK, PINK!!!
Favourite Food: Lobster Thermidor.
Favorite Show Products: Fairy green washing up liquid, Absorbine Show Sheen and chalk.
Favorite Show Event: CHAPS (UK) Champs and Royal Windsor Show.
Most Embarrasing Moment: Of course I dont have one!!! Well one that comes to mind was
about 10 years ago at a large local show. Some people had
taken an interest in Ace and had come to see him in the
trailer. The ramp was down and I was adjusting his travel
boots whilst chatting to these people and Ace promptly
pooed on my head!!! I was of course the only one not to see
the funny side of it!!!
Could`nt live without: Mascara, cigarettes, alcohol, chocolate and of course my husband
and children!!!
Showing Tips: Be prepared, it is so important not to overface yourself or your horse. Do
your homework and get it right at home first before you consider going to
a show. Do not expect the judge to sit on a horse that you have not
prepared and schooled enough to be put into that situation. Always have a
clean horse and tack and be correctly turned out, first impressions do count.
But most importantly enjoy what you are doing and dont get too hung up
on results, the best horse and rider in the world can`t get it right every time.
So remember it should be fun and if you find yourself not enjoying it
anymore, do something else instead!!!
Pet Hates: Miserable people, being late and bad mannered horses. |
