The Very Special ``Merrigans Legacy` Heads to HOYS

Merrigans Legacy the 16hh, 3 year old skewbald colt bred and owned by Clare & Glen Martin from County Durham will this week be competing in The Cuddy Supreme In-hand Horse & Pony Championship at The Horse of the Year Show.

He is the only second coloured horse to ever qualify for this prestigious event.

This stunning horse is practically unbeaten this season, having taken the Coloured Championships at The Royal Show, The Great Yorkshire, Midlands County, Cheshire County, Derbyshire Festival of Showing (Supreme of Show) and Kent County. He came so close to gaining a Cuddy ticket at The Great Yorkshire, where he was Reserve Supreme of Show, but went one place better at Kent County taking the Supreme and the coveted Cuddy qualifying ticket.

Much to his owners delight, he became the Chaps UK In-hand Supreme Champion at their National Championship Show in September, where he also won the Taurom Coloureds Youngstock Championship, the 3 year old of the Year title and the Pessall Hestia In-hand Horse of the Year Championship.

Legacy is very closely related to the Martins 2003 Hoys, Champion, Merrigan.
