An Unexpected Early Farewell to Holmesley Tinkerbell

It is with much sadness we say farewell to Holmesley Tinkerbell. This beautiful mare`s life ended very prematurely one month before foaling.
She was a truly lovely native mare, bred by Olivia Harrison. She was shown for the first time last year with great success, she was Champion graded with both Chaps and the BSPA and was Broodmare Champion at the Chaps Champ Show in 08.
She became desperately ill a month before foaling but managed to hang on long enough to give birth to a super skewbald colt by BSPA Champion Traditional graded stallion `Hoodwink`.
Although the foal was 3wks premature and was hospitalised for the first week he is now home and doing really well. He will shortly be strong enough to try with a foster mare so if anyone has one please get in touch. I would be happy to put the mare infoal to The Scoundrel our 15.1hh Dual Graded Homozygous Traditional stallion if required. This is little fellow really is a fighter, Please spread the word around for a foster Mum for him.
We send our sincere sympathy to Liz and everyone at Moortown Stud on the loss of Tinks. Such talen taken so early. RIP Tinks. |
