CHAPS CHAMPIONSHIPS HAS THE SILVER LINING...

The Coloured Horse and Pony Society celebrated its 25th anniversary and raised the standard again - this time, a move to a new venue at Arena UK, Grantham Lincolnshire made a very successful and hugely popular Championship Show.
This was a slick, classy show. Coloured horses and ponies, their owners, producers, breeders and admirers were treated to three days of superb organisation, well informed stewards, outstanding facilities along with the added bonus of a running commentary of what, where and when things were happening in the rings.
Classes were well supported and this new venue attracted even more competitors than last year. The arena`s were constantly kept clean with the Arena UK in house team, there was plenty of space. Gala performances were held in the Silver Ring - Silver to celebrate 25 years of CHAPS this year. There was a buzz in the air as competitors showed their horses with great enthusiasm - making the extra effort as the crowds clapped and cheered - this was, a show to be enjoyed - from competitor to spectator.
HOYS classes were packed - everyone desperate to try and clinch their last opportunity before October. Everyone had a smile on their face. It was friendly and professional.
The summery smell of the unfamiliar BBQ (during this summer) wafted through the lorry park. Families enjoyed picnics. Familiar faces gathered together for their annual get-togethers and really made this show a showcase of horses and a gathering of friends.
